Travel & Stay
The festival takes place at Åby Arena in Mölndal, just south of central Gothenburg. Everything — workshops, socials, parties, competition — happens inside the arena, and the partner hotel is at the venue.
✈️ Flying in
Fly to Gothenburg Landvetter Airport (GOT). From the airport, the Flygbussarna airport coach takes you to central Gothenburg in about 30 minutes; from there, Mölndal is a short train or tram ride. A taxi from Landvetter directly to the venue takes roughly 20–25 minutes.
Landvetter has direct connections from most major European hubs — Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Paris, Copenhagen, and more.
🚆 By train & tram
- From Gothenburg Central: commuter trains reach Mölndal station in under 10 minutes.
- Tram: lines toward Mölndal run frequently from the city centre.
- Buy tickets in the Västtrafik To Go app — it's cheaper than paper tickets and works on all trams, buses, and commuter trains.
🛏️ Where to stay
Best Western Plus Åby Hotel is our partner hotel at the venue — the closest bed to the dance floor you will ever find. Breakfast and gym included.
Central Gothenburg is also 10 minutes away with plenty of hotels and short-stay apartments if you prefer to combine the festival with a city weekend.
🇸🇪 Good to know
- Currency: Swedish krona (SEK). Sweden is nearly cashless — cards and mobile pay work everywhere.
- November weather: 0–8°C, often wet. Pack a warm layer and waterproof shoes for outside; the dance floor will keep you warm inside.
- Language: Swedish, but everyone speaks English.
- Getting around late: night buses and taxis run after parties; the partner hotel means most of you won't need them.
