Built by dancers who wanted a better festival
La Luna Festival is the flagship event of Casa Luna, the Gothenburg crew behind curated Latin dance parties, workshops, and bootcamps across the city. We spent years attending festivals across Europe and kept coming home with the same list of frustrations: venues scattered across town, packed floors, cold rooms, and schedules you needed a spreadsheet to survive.
So we designed the festival we wanted to attend. One arena. A hotel next door. Floors with room to actually dance. Day socials for people who don't want to wait until 1am. And a lineup we'd cross Europe to take classes from.
This edition: Bachata & Kizomba
The 2026 edition runs two full tracks — bachata and kizomba — with workshops, dedicated party floors, day socials, a Jack & Jill competition, and the Bachata Social World Cup European Qualifiers. Salsa joins the family in a future edition.
The venue
Åby Arena, Mölndal — a modern arena ten minutes from central Gothenburg, with the partner hotel Best Western Plus Åby Hotel on site. Every workshop, social, and party under one roof.
Our promise
- Connection first. We cap capacity so the social floor stays danceable all weekend.
- Safety always. A consent-first floor, a visible safety team, and a Code of Conduct we enforce.
- No filler. Every artist on the lineup teaches and social dances. No fly-in, fly-out headliners.
